The new 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk will be a nice addition to the Compass line. After the ‘death’ of the model where Jeep has decided that they won’t continue their production anymore, it is pretty good to see that Compass is finally back on track again – and this time with a new addition of the Trailhawk. When Jeep decided to make the Compass in 2007 – along with the Patriot, they had just made a terrible mistake. The compact crossover didn’t look anything like a Jeep. It wasn’t fun to control or drive and it didn’t have any offroad ability. Things were getting better in 2011, thanks to the auto six speed transmission. And it gets better and better up to 2014 until Jeep decided to hold it off. And they finally decided that they are going to resurrect the model, anyway.
If you take a look at the general Compass, it looks like the reduced Grand Cherokee with the signature seven slot grille, slow rising of the bodysides, and the bulging fenders. There is an optional sunroof addition in case you want to have a new refreshment. It is a smart move from Jeep, anyway. The new 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk is somewhat looks like the Compass but with something different.
There is a unique fascia with also unique offroad ability. It has the offroad ability with approach angle of 30 degree, breakover 24 degree angle, and also 34 departure degree angle. Not to mention that new features are also included in this model, including the Rock Mode and Hill Descent Control that is good enough when paired with crawl ratio with 20:1 arrangement. Since Compass is a unibody, it means that the Trailhawk has the same ability and it is able to deliver comfy driving experience with damping Koni struts on the front and back.
For the cabin, there will be different LCD sizes, with the 5.0 sizes as the standard and 8.4 inch as the optional. For the higher ends, there will be Android Auto and Apple CarPlay technology, along with console mounted traditional shifter. Up until now, there hasn’t been any official announcement about the price or the release date of the Compass and also the accompanying 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk that will be a welcomed addition to the line.
